Equipping Women, Saving Lives
On 10 May 2025, Sparrow Society hosted an Emergency First Aid Responder Training facilitated by EMS Western Cape Government.

The workshop provided step-by-step guidance on how to respond in an emergency—starting with prioritizing your own safety and assessing the scene before assisting. Participants were taught what equipment to keep on hand, when to call for help, and how to act in critical situations such as choking, burns, stab or gunshot wounds, panic attacks, and more.

With practical training in life-saving techniques like chest compressions and patient positioning, women left empowered to respond with confidence in moments of crisis.
