On 22 October 2025, Sparrow Society hosted a Tote Bag Training Workshop facilitated by our very own sewing trainer, Rozel Brandt

The session focused on teaching participants how to make their own tote bags — a practical skill that empowers them to create and sell products from home, generating a more consistent income. They learned how to make 4 tote bags from only 1 meter of fabric, and how to maximise cost v profit.

During the feedback session, the women expressed excitement about applying what they learned and gratitude for opportunities that extend beyond the PowerPads production. They shared personal reflections on their growth journeys and appreciation for the continued support from the trainer and Sparrow Society.
