Y.E.S. stands for “Young Entrepreneur Society” as was started as a response to the inequalities in secondary eduction for girls, particularly in rural areas. Sparrow Society’s YES Girl Project gives high school aged girls not only to finish their high school education, but EMPOWERS them with the skills, knowledge, network and mentorship needed to start their own micro-businesses to lift themselves our of the poverty trap and become leaders in their community. Our first chapter is in partnership with Reaching a Generation, and is located in Sioma, Zambia where girls are at risk for child marriage and exploitation. More on this exciting project to follow.
